Our beloved football team went to the Super Bowl this year so we knew we had to acknowledge the event somehow. This was my tribute!
This is what the bulletin board looked like at the beginning of the week.
This is what it looked like at the end:
And a lot of kids took players home! The kids looooooved this craft. We had kids making two or three at a time, giving us one and taking the others home to give as gifts to parents or to watch the big game with. I combined ideas I got here and here.
Here’s my player example:
He was the only one on the field at the start of the project but was soon surrounded by teammates.
Here are the Football Player Craft Instructions. We put out a big basket of pieces along with the instructions and kids sat at the table and constructed their dude (or dudette — we have several with eyelashes and red lips which I loved).
As you may have heard, the Eagles went on to win (for the first time!) so we left the bulletin board up for one week after the game to celebrate. (If they had lost I was prepared to come in early on Monday to tear everything down!)
Fly, Eagles, Fly!
