Shark Story Time (Toddlers 2018)

The librarian who usually covers toddler story time is on vacation this week so I filled in.

Song: Open Shut Them
Open shut them, open shut them
Give a little clap, clap, clap.
Open shut them, open shut them
Put them in your lap, lap, lap.
Creep them, crawl them
Creep them, crawl them
Right up to your chin, chin, chin.
Open up your mouth …
But do not let them in!

Song: Zoom Zoom Zoom, We’re Going to the Moon
Zoom zoom zoom, we’re going to the moon
Zoom zoom zoom, we’re going to the moon
If you want to take a trip, climb aboard my rocket ship
Zoom zoom zoom, we’re going to the moon
In 5-4-3-2-1
BLASTOFF!

Rhyming book about a little boy and his telescope at the park. He thinks he’s seeing shark fins everywhere. But is he?

It was my first time using this book at story time and I really liked it. Very well received.

I like to dance, how about you?

I like to dance, how about you?
Skip to my lou, my darling!

My coworker found this song and I don’t know her source.

Swimming in the ocean.
A humongous whale, a humongous whale,
Glub, glub, glub.
Oh no!
The humongous whale was eaten by a kid. …
Was it you?? (point to kid)
